Rapper and actor Choi Seung Hyun—widely recognized as T.O.P of Big Bang—made a striking return to the Korean entertainment scene during the promotional event for Netflix's Squid Game Season 3, held on June 28.

This event marked T.O.P’s first public appearance before the Korean press in eight years, following his hiatus due to a 2017 conviction related to drug use. His long-awaited return took place alongside celebrated figures such as director Hwang Dong Hyuk and a star-studded lineup of cast members including Lee Jung Jae, Lee Byung Hun, Park Hae Soo, Jung Ho Yeon, Lee Yoo Mi, Yim Si Wan, and Kang Ha Neul.

T.O.P made his debut in the hit series during Season 2, portraying a character named Thanos—a troubled rapper with a complex backstory. Speaking to the media, T.O.P shared his heartfelt gratitude for being part of such an iconic global franchise, noting that the experience has been both humbling and transformative.

“I’ve learned so much from this project,” he said. “I’m thankful to director Hwang Dong Hyuk for believing in me and giving me a second chance.”

The final season of Squid Game officially premiered on June 27, and is now available for streaming exclusively on Netflix. With its gripping plot and high-caliber cast, the series finale is already generating buzz among fans and critics alike.
